New Traditions

 Merry Christmas!
It's Christmas Eve, as I sit here thinking about all my friends and family, I'm listening to Jimmie Bratcher's song, "Going to Grammy's". Traditions are wonderful while they last, and most are meant to last. This grammy tried to carry on grandma's tradition of Christmas Eve Celebration with family, and chilli, enjoying the kids with their kids. But, that only lasted a few years and here I am, on the other side of the world...
It has been a new Christmas Eve...
Four hundred people were Baptized in the
Indian Ocean at 7 O'clock this morning. It was already verging on hot, the sun had been shining since before 6AM and the water was wonderful. Holy Ghost was visibly present in the people of God hosting Him there. I witnessed both a person overwhelmed in His goodness and another overcome by a demon that didn't want to be baptized. But, you know, no demon from hell can keep someone from the love of the Father. In a very simple, matter of fact manner, the demon departed and the Spirit of Jesus filled that house.

It is for freedom that Christ set us free.

And yet, how appropriate that would we think of that Baby in a manger, while remembering why He came? Such humble beginnings for the King of kings.
By todays standard, Jesus lived His whole life on this earth in "poverty". But in reality,

Poverty is a mindset, not a social status.

Poverty robs a person of options, convincing him that he cannot escape his present condition or circumstances. Screaming that nothing else will accomplish the desired outcome, even when the current effort has failed and continues to do so. Poverty is born out of fear and controls through that same fear.

In contrast, prosperity enables a person to move beyond the current difficulties. Envisioning a new outcome in spite of past failures. Prosperity is produced from love and edifies, exhorts and comforts through that love. May you prosper and be in health, even as your soul (Mind, Will and Emotions) prospers.

You will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.

Truth, is Jesus. If you will know Him, He will set you free from all that holds you back. He will build you up, and draw you close, and comfort you, when all around you appears dark and dreary. He is the King of Glory! Glory depicts light, and a lot of it!

He is the way, the truth and the Light.

Like the demon that had to vacate the young girl who was buried and raised with Christ today, so your Light will come and dispel the darkness. In the Light you can clearly see the desired outcome ~ the path through the struggles ~ the way of escape.

It is Christmas time all over the world. To us a child is born. As you celebrate with your friends and family this season, remember why we celebrate a Baby in a manger.

He came to save the world.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from beautiful Mozambique!

With His Heart,
